Power Service, Inc. is celebrating 54 YEARS in business during 2008. We have served the Rocky Mountain region since 1954 as a rotating equipment distributor. Originally we sold and serviced oilfield engines and power transmission products from our store in downtown Casper, Wyoming. As the needs of our customers evolved, our products and services changed to our current main lines of industrial pumps, air compressors, blowers and custom unit fabrication.

Although we are the dominant pump and air house in Wyoming with stores in Casper and Green River, the boom–bust nature of Wyoming’s resource based economy has led us to diversify. We chose to do this by establishing stores in metropolitan areas with more broadly based economies. In 1997 we opened a store in Salt Lake City, Utah to service the diverse customers in Utah and the gold mines of Nevada. An opportunity to buy an existing air compressor distributorship in Denver in 1999 opened the Colorado market for us. Then in 2001 two of our stockholders had the opportunity to join in the purchase the largest air compressor distributor in Montana.

Now Power Service, Inc. with its four locations and its affiliate, Power Service of Montana, Inc. offers customers throughout the Northern Rockies air compressor, pump and blower expertise, products and service. Equipment users can depend on our 20 service technicians, over $1.5 million in inventory and 70 employees to solve their fluid transfer and air system problems. We look forward to continued growth in partnership with customers throughout the Northern Rockies.
